This is for entry to the 2025 season UKBC Judges Certification and Calibration event for newcomers only.  Returning judges please visit our alternative event page HERE.

Who should attend: All individuals who wish to judge in the 2025 season of UKBC & Coffee Championships or begin their journey into judging competitions. We are committed to growing the high calibre of UK judges in our pool. We are particularly interested in individuals with SCA Qualifications at an Intermediate level or above, Q Grader Qualification, or recognised coffee professionals within their day-to-day work.

Please note: Calibrated judges are not permitted to compete in any championships which include judges (excludes SCA UK Cup Tasters Championship).

Please Note: We would like anyone with Head Judging experience to also take part in this day - You will not need to purchase an additional ticket. 

In-Person Practical Sensory Calibration & Assessment

To be eligible for judging, you must attend the practical sensory calibration session that applies to your experience level.

    • When: Saturday, 1st February 2025 – 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
    • Where: Extract London – Extract Coffee Roasters, 5 Morocco St, Bermondsey, London, SE1 3HB

·        For Newcomers - This Event: 

    • When: Sunday, 2nd February 2025 – 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
    • Where: Extract London – Extract Coffee Roasters, 5 Morocco St, Bermondsey, London, SE1 3HB

Price: £100.00 (50% Refund for SCA Members)*

There will initially be 25 spaces available.

Attendance does not guarantee certification. We will evaluate performance from the two sessions, including written and practical assessments, and contact each participant individually.

Refunds are not available for unsuccessful certifications or calibrations.

* SCA Membership is mandatory for anyone judging an SCA UK competition. We will check entries against the SCA membership list and those with a valid membership will receive a 50% refund. Please check your membership status in the SCA Global portal. 

Strictly one entry per person per transaction - You will not be able to check out if you have more than one registration in your cart.
