Judge Certification & Calibration

Judges are required for all UK Coffee Events, and we are expecting a large number of competitors again for the 2025 season.

This year's Judges Calibration & Certification is taking place in February 2025.

Who should attend: All individuals who wish to judge in the 2025 season of UKBC & Coffee Championships or begin their journey into judging competitions. We are committed to growing the high calibre of UK judges in our pool. We are particularly interested in individuals with SCA Qualifications at an Intermediate level or above, Q Grader Qualification, or recognised coffee professionals within their day-to-day work.

** Calibrated judges are not permitted to compete in any championships which include judges (excludes SCA UK Cup Tasters Championship) **

Please Note: We would like anyone with Head Judging experience to take part in both days - You will not need to purchase an additional ticket. 

In-Person Practical Sensory Calibration & Assessment

To be eligible for judging, you must attend the practical sensory calibration session that applies to your experience level.

·        For Returning Judges: 

• When: Saturday, 1st February 2025 – 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
• Where: Extract London – Extract Coffee Roasters, 5 Morocco St, Bermondsey, London, SE1 3HB

·        For Newcomers: 

• When: Sunday, 2nd February 2025 – 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
• Where: Extract London – Extract Coffee Roasters, 5 Morocco St, Bermondsey, London, SE1 3HB
