2018 UK Barista Championship Sponsors

The Specialty Coffee Association UK Chapter would like to thank all our sponsors, for their continued support of the UK competitions. None of this could go ahead without their involvement.

La Marzocco, founded in 1927 by the Bambi brothers, has traditionally specialized in producing high-end handcrafted espresso coffee machines geared towards excellence, a quality cup and style.

In 2018, La Marzocco UK & Ireland are proud to be the official machine sponsor of the UK & Irish Barista Championships. The Championships are about innovation, creativity, quality and community; ideals that La Marzocco thrive to achieve every step of the way.
The company is headquartered near Florence, Italy, with offices in Auckland, Barcelona, Leeds, London, Melbourne, Milan, Seattle, Seoul, Shanghai, Stuttgart and Sydney. La Marzocco has over 330 employees and produces espresso coffee machines and grinders that are exported to over 100 countries with the support of its distributors and partners, making its presence known on the 5 continents.

We are keen on always going beyond, we have a sharp vision of future challenges.
Jeopardize, break and reinvent the rules is our strength.

Among our coffee grinders and equipment, many pieces have made history and have become design icons. Even more, there are unexpected idea and solutions, ongoing intuitions and inventions rewriting, redesigning the way of thinking about and making coffee. We have been bringing our disruptive innovation to coffee shops from all over the world since 1905, at the service of baristas who are disruptive as well as the coffee equipment they choose.
Mythos One - The UKBC Grinder

To say that Grumpy Mule only cares about coffee is not entirely fair. He, and we, also care about our farmers, our growers and our customers. And other mules. And carrots. And a well-placed scratch behind the ears.
But that’s about it.
So we source fairly and sustainably – making sure that our growers share in our success. We roast with precision and care – making sure that we get the very best flavour from each and every bean that our growers have worked so hard to produce.
Because great coffees depend on every stage of the process being just right. That’s what drives Grumpy Mule.
