We’re Dave, Jon, Zoe and Grace, and we’re really pleased to be getting started. We’ve spent the first few weeks getting to know the chapter, understanding where things stand and getting stuck into some immediate priorities, including UKBC 2027.
We’ve also been thinking about what SCA UK should offer the wider UK coffee community and how we want to work as a committee. Our mission statements are built around four principles: transparency, collaboration, community and honesty.
We want to be open about what we’re doing, work with the community, create opportunities beyond competitions and be honest about the things we don’t have all the answers to yet. There’s a lot to get moving, and we’re looking forward to bringing you along with us.
Our next post will be an update on UKBC 2027, including what we know, what we’re working on and what it means if you’re thinking about competing.
